60 Relationship Check-In Questions: Daily, Weekly and Monthly (2026)

By Hugsy Team60 questions

Most couples only check in when something has already gone wrong, so a check-in starts to feel like a warning. It works much better as a habit: a minute a day, a little longer once a week, a proper talk once a month.

Pick a fixed time, keep it short, and stick to it.

How to use these

  • Put the weekly check-in on the calendar, same day every week. Sunday evening is a good default.
  • Both of you answer every question, and nobody defends themselves during the check-in.
  • If a question opens up something big, note it down and give it its own time later.

Where these questions come from

We read the lists couples already search for, kept the questions that work, and rewrote or replaced most of them in our own words. Some come from the 2,000+ prompts inside the Hugsy app. A person reviews every list before it goes live.
