Keep a few of these ready for those moments. One good question can carry a whole evening.

Want to answer these without hearing each other's answer first? Try them in Hugsy.

How to use these

  • Ask, then stay quiet for longer than feels natural. The real answer often comes after the first one.
  • Stop at three in a night. Deep questions get shallow when you rush them.
  • If an answer stings a little, say thank you before you say anything else.

Where these questions come from

We read the lists couples already search for, kept the questions that work, and rewrote or replaced most of them in our own words. Some come from the 2,000+ prompts inside the Hugsy app. A person reviews every list before it goes live.
